The East Coast got socked by a blizzard this week. It's not as bad as in this picture, but I still want to stay inside! Photo: Flickr.com/cleo
The first half of January is usually pretty quiet, and this week and next week are no exception. The lack of dividend increase announcements wasn’t because of the blizzard that ran up the Eastern Seaboard this week, but I’m sure it didn’t help. There was only one dividend increase announcement: Bank of the Ozarks, which traditionally announces a half cent per share dividend increase each quarter, continued the pattern this week with another increase. This is Bank of the Ozarks’ 18th straight quarterly dividend increase.
